About me

Hi, my name is Cassie. I live with 2 persons with diabetes. My husband, Jason, was believed to be a type 2 for several years but was re-diagnosed as a type 1.5 (LADA) on 12-14-12. Seth was diagnosed with type 1 on 8-24-12. Shockingly, I was diagnosed with type 1 on 3-18-16. Our diagnosis stories are linked on the home page. We have a non-D son also - Josh who is taking a little break from college to figure life out. Jason and I both teach high school in a neighboring town.  I teach chemistry; Jason teaches health science technology and coaches the swim team.  I started this blog to help me process everything we are dealing with, and maybe help someone else along the way.
